Actress Luyanda Zwane who portrayed the leading role of Sibongile on Sibongile and The Dlamini’s has recently spoken out about her reasons for leaving the show.
Speaking to Zimoja, the rising star said the reason for leaving the show is personal but she completed her season 1 obligation. “I chose not to renew my contract for season 2 after completing my season 1 obligations,” she said.
While many people anticipate who will replace Luyanda on the show, the publication said the Outlaws actress was reported to have been unhappy with some of the decisions made by production.
Despite Luyanda’s objections, the publication reports that an insider revealed to them that she was allegedly tough to work with and people had to navigate around her.
“She is a young, beautiful and very talented girl, but she just needs to work on her attitude going forward. There were many complaints from actors on the set and how rude she was,” the insider revealed.
Disagreeing with what has been revealed, Luyanda said people will always talk and have opinions, she does not recall being a drama queen.
“People will always have opinions on how they experience you. I have never heard anyone on any set complain about me being a drama queen. Those who know me, know how I am. I don’t pay too much attention to negativity. Everyone experiences people differently,” she said.
The breakout star scored the leading role in Mzansi Wethu’s first telenovela last year. The telenovela follows the journey of Sibongile Mbambo, who is an innocent rural young woman forced to leave her family and dreams behind. She later becomes a domestic worker in the lavish mansion of the affluent Dlamini family.
