Age comes with a set of complications and beauties. If you take a close look at your food consumption throughout your life, you will realise that you don’t eat the same things you used to eat ten years ago. This might be because you lost interest in some food, or it was advised that you stop due to health reasons.
A nutritionist and hormone coach, Tania Dee, took to TikTok and gave three things women over the age of 40 should remove from their diet. This is for women of that age who, “want to lose weight, to balance their hormones and feel great,” she said.

This is the list of things the nutritionist mentioned and how she explained their effects on women’s bodies:
Coffee: The first thing to remove immediately is coffee. Tania explains that coffee, “Increases cortisol levels, it whips adrenal glands, it does not support them and is full of mould.”
Fizzy drinks:Â Carbonated drinks decrease your digestive enzymes, reduce magnesium in the body and increase your desire for more.
Processed sugar: Processed sugar increases inflammation in the body and it takes a toll on the gut health and adrenal glands.
Everyone is obligated to live healthily and follow a nutritious diet. The Top Nutrition Coaching (TNC) provided reasons why women specifically those over the age of 40 should follow a strict diet, especially those who want to lose weight. In agreement with Tania, TNC supported the letting go of processed food, fizzy drinks and coffee.
“Weight increase is common as we age. You lose muscle mass, which reduces your ability to burn calories, making weight maintenance more challenging. Weight loss is important, but so is building disease immunity,” reports TNC. The same is true for maintaining healthy blood pressure and lowering your risk of heart attack, diabetes, cancer, and bone loss. However, if weight growth is becoming an issue for you, you should prioritize weight loss.
Selecting the optimal weight-loss diet may be a technique that enhances better nutrition, wellness, and quality of life in your 40s. The optimal diet for you will help you attain your desired health outcome. If your objective isn’t to lose weight, the goal could be to boost your energy and mental wellness.
