Kaya FM radio presenter Sizwe Dhlomo has openly admitted that the election has left him with mixed emotions when deciding on who to vote for.
The 29th of May was marked as a significant day in the history of modern-day South Africa.
With numerous issues affecting ordinary citizens, from bad governance to corruption that led to the collapse of several institutions like Eskom and SAA, millions flocked to the election polls in the hope that their votes would bring about much-needed change for the first time in 30 years.
With many political parties having shared their manifestos, citizens opened their ballots knowing exactly who would be getting their votes – except for Sizwe Dhlomo.
Taking to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the renowned radio host shared that as he approached, he made a last-minute decision by changing his mind on which party would be getting his vote.
In a short post, he wrote: “I changed my vote last minute… lol!”
His post gained the attention of hundreds of users all eager to find out who he might have voted for and what changed his mind.
Replying to his post was one user who assured him that it was completely fine if he changed his mind as long as he did not vote for the current ruling party, the African National Congress (ANC).
It appears that there were more who shared these sentiments, another added:
As long as its not ANC .. its okay 😭
