Those who have heard of the name Lance Stehr will know that he is one of the record label bosses who has worked with some of the biggest stars such as Bonginkosi “Zola 7” Dlamini, Nathi Mankayi, Bongani Fassie, Da Les and many more.
The record label owner has also been accused by many artists of robbing them millions of rands over the years, something he has vehemently refused.
Zola 7 who was once signed to Ghetto Ruff now known as Muthaland Entertainment is among many artists who have publicly accused the label boss of owing them money. While visiting the Podcast and Chill with macG the Lwandle hitmaker had this to say about Lance, “Lance has got a special place in hell, like where there is most coal, that’s where he is going to go and burn.”
He added, “He’s destroyed so many people, it’s not funny. He’s unable to destroy me, but I know other things about other artists the ones I found at Ghetto Ruff, they are way older than me, and they have nothing to show.”
Invited on the same platform, Lance refuted Zola’s claims stating that his fall out with the star, whose image they protected for many years had something to do with a love affair he had with someone they worked with.
It has now emerged that the two men have buried the hatchet and working on the artist’s music together, and hopefully new music again.
They are currently promoting Zola’s single Ghetto Fabulous released under Ghetto Ruff almost 2 decades ago. This will be followed by the full album Bambatha. The single Ghetto Fabulous will be going live on digital music streaming platforms in a few days as the demand for the artist’s music to get to digital platforms was getting higher and higher.
Speaking to local publication ZiMoja on Zola and Lance’s re-union , a source close to the Mdlwembe hitmaker said, “Zola has learned that you have one life to live. He was very ill and after being in hospital and recovering, he went to speak to Lance to try and make things right.”
