With the re-elected President, Cyril Ramaphosa having officially announced his cabinet of ministers that will accompany him in his new term as the country leader, there is nobody more vocal about her support of the new ministers than Mama Joy.
The sports superfan, whose real name is Joy Chauke recently shared multiple posts in which she congratulated the new Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Gayton Mckenzie.
Joy has a long history with Gayton’s portfolio. This comes after the department previously made provision to send her on multiple trips to some of the biggest sports events in the world, while under the leadership of former Minister, Zizi Kodwa.
Following Gayton’s recent appointment Joy shared her messages of support.
“Congratulations Gayton, our new Minister of Sport.”
Later she shared yet another follow-up post introducing Gayton as the new Minister.

The 50-year-old has made it no secret that the sports department is one that she is particularly passionate about, in the build-up to the president’s announcement she hinted that she was especially looking forward to knowing who the new minister might be.

This comes at a time when Joy, has her sights firmly set on getting another sponsored trip – this time, to the 2024 Paris Olympics.
With her biggest critic, Renaldo Gouws currently set to face disciplinary following a decade-old video in which he made racist remarks, it seemed as though Paris was a certainty -especially since DA leader John Steenhuisen was in support of the idea.
However, whether Gayton has the same vision, only time will tell.
