South African composer, singer and songwriter; Asanda Lusaseni Mvana popularly known as Msaki opened a foundation named after one of her popular songs, Fetch Your Life.
After taking a hiatus from making music to be present to reconnect with her family and get time to herself, the break also afforded Msaki a chance to focus on the Fetch Your Life foundation.
According to its page on Instagram, the foundation is a space concerned with finding encouraging ways to see more souls in this generation move towards their purpose. The foundation hopes for more individuals to self-actualise in their lifetime raising the collective consciousness and vibration of our society.
The foundation adds that it hopes to see people living in alignment with their dreams and gifts, resembling Msaki’s lyrics on her Fetch Your Life song; which sings: “We pray away the pain of not being in alignment with our dreams.”
Recently, Msaki took to her Instagram page to share what inspired her to start the foundation. In a caption, the musician wrote that three years ago she started asking herself what lived under her songs. That’s when it hit her that she cared about people’s dreams and their alignment with their purpose; she found that this was a common denominator in her songs.
Since her break from making music, Msaki said she has found more time and a deep desire to see people collide with their inner desires and gifts in small and big ways.
