Former Banyana-Banyana player, Portia Modise revealed that she is still reeling in shock after she was hijacked recently in front of her yard.
As much as she is grateful to have survived the ordeal, the veteran football player is still amazed at how easy it can be to lose your belongings. To this day Portia has not obtained her car back, however, she still receives bogus calls from those who claim to have seen her car after the hijacking.
In an interview with Daily Sun, Portia said she receives calls from different people claiming they have found her highjacked car, but she is reluctant they may be scammers who want to extort money from her.
“There are people who are calling me saying they found my car. This is too much already for me. I’m stressing about my lost car and people are taking advantage of me. We are not safe in our own homes and streets these days,” she said.
Recently Portia took to her Instagram page to narrate the story of her hijacking and pleaded with anyone with information that might assist her in retrieving her car.

This was after five gun-wielding men approached her and forced her out of her car while she was on the verge of leaving her yard. The police are still hard at work trying to catch the hijackers and hopefully retrieve her Volkswagen Golf in good condition.
