Renowned radio and television personality Andile Ncube is eager to help the rest of the country move one step closer to discovering who the next lady will be to walk away with the crown of Miss South Africa later this year.
The prominent sports presenter was recently announced as the guest judge who will be making his brief appearance on the Miss South Africa reality show called Crown Chasers.
Here contestants are put through their paces as they endure a series of challenges, how they respond to the challenges will be the determining factor of whether or not they are fit to be crowned the winner when the official pageant kicks off.
Speaking to news and entertainment publication Daily Sun, Andile expressed how excited he was when he got an offer to come and join the show as a guest judge.
“I’ve been a fan of Miss South Africa since Jacqui Mofokeng took the title in 1993.”
He continued: “So to finally be a part of it was like getting a call from one of the Avengers, from Captain America saying: ‘Hey, come on up, we’ve got something we need you to do!”
Speaking to Daily Sun, he shared that the show is about more than just spotting the most beautiful girl, but also witnessing the evolution of the contestants and getting to know the one who will ultimately be crowned queen.
As someone who was recognised among the 100 Most Impactful Africans by Ranks Magazine earlier this year, he said that he was looking for more than just outward appearances.
“There’s so much to consider. All the contestants are beautiful, but I was looking for ‘the more’ that we talk about, and boy did I find it in abundance.”
