Following the recent news that the award-winning rapper Da Les has been hospitalised after suffering a stroke, there appears to be light at the end of the tunnel for the 39-year-old.
According to a report by the entertainment publication ZiMoja, it was revealed that the rapper has finally been moved from a private to a public hospital. This occurred amidst ongoing reports that his family were unable to cover the cost of the hospital bills since he never had medical aid.
In conversation with the above-mentioned publication, the source highlighted that he is not okay but has shown signs of progress.
“He can see and hear everyone, but he cannot speak or move. He was put in intensive care at a private hospital in Sandton and was moved to the public hospital a day ago.”
The anonymous friend highlighted that despite his inability to speak and move, his eyes showed a fighting spirit.
Meanwhile, the rapper has been the subject of criticism in recent weeks as many questioned how he was unable to seek medical aid, given how glamourous his lifestyle has been. Instead, rumours were circulating that his family needed assistance.
However, his family responded saying that they never asked for any assistance.
The X (former Twitter) blogger Phil Mphela highlighted that it was his friends who called others to contribute as a gesture of support.
