We have all experienced an era of ‘eyebrow blindness,’ where we believed our eyebrows looked great because no one told us they didn’t. Not to worry, as we will be delving into the interesting topic of eyebrow blindness.
Eyebrow blindness became very popular when makeup enthusiasts were introduced into the makeup industry, where their eyebrows never matched their faces. It can only be assumed that they were trying to channel supermodel and actress Cara Delevingne’s gorgeous eyebrows.
Beauty hub, Grazia, states that eyebrow blindness made internet users reflect on the 2010s’ incredibly thick block brows, with 2016 being a year of brow fixation tutorials.
The trend seemingly made its way to the social media platform TikTok, where creators showcased their hilarious moments of eyebrow blindness.
According to the beauty hub, Allure, back then people who used to have softer, smaller, and more realistic brows, were ignorant of the extreme appearance they achieved by using brow pomade and not plucking any hair.

Taking to the comment section of TikTok, users laughed at the creators as well as people around them for not being honest with them about their appearance.
One user said: “Oh you were in your Ray Charles era.”
Another user added: “I can relate to eyebrow blindness and also contour blindness.”
Another TikTok user questioned the integrity of the creator’s friends for letting her leave the house like that.
