Last weekend the Boks played against the Wallabies in Suncorp where they dominated the home team in front of a sold-out stadium, many of who ironically were South African fans.
With the second leg of the competition moving to Perth where there is reported to be a higher number of South Africans, the atmosphere is expected to be nothing less than spectacular.
UFC: Dricus du Plessis vs Israel Adesanya
While the Springbok versus Australia rugby match is expected to keep fans entertained on Saturday, Sunday will be a day for the fighters. This comes as the South African fighter Dricus du Plessis will be defending his World Middleweight belt against the Nigerian-born New Zealander Israel Adesanya.
Dricus is the very first South African to win the monumental title after defeating the American Sean Strickland earlier this year. Numerous reports suggest that if Dricus is successful, the UFC will host its next event in South Africa. This is something Cape Town mayor Geordin-Hill Lewis is all too excited about.

To this, he responded: “It’s purely coincidental that we are here with Dricus and the Bokke! Ag, I guess champions attract Champions.”
