Self-proclaimed prophet and infamous Incredible Happenings Ministries leader Paseka Franz Motsoeneng, more popularly known as Pastor Mboro finds himself in water as he and his co-accused were denied bail in Palm Ridge Magistrates court.
This comes after Pastor Mboro along with his bodyguard Vincent Baloyi as well as his son Revival Motshoeneng were seen forcefully extracting a student at Matshidiso Primary School in Katlehong in a viral video, all while carrying hazardous weapons.
The three were then arrested on charges of assault, handling a firearm restlessly, malicious damage to property and intimidation. Revival, who is Mboro’s son was later released on bail, while the two remained in custody. “There is no basis that he should be detained until the finalisation of the matter. And therefore the court shall grant his release from custody on condition and warning that he should not be in direct or indirect contact with the children’s maternal family, or set foot at the school until the Children’s Court concludes the custody matter,” Magistrate Katlego Mokeona states.
Amidst the chaos of Mboro’s video circulating, the prophet’s church was set alight, reportedly by the youth who condemned the pastor’s actions.
After attending their bail hearing, Mboro and his co-accused were denied bail as the prosecutor Peello Vilakazi cited the dangerous act of parading weapons among young children while unauthorised to do so. The prosecution also believes that the accused still poses a danger to the public’s safety, stating “there is a likelihood, actually more than a likelihood, they will endanger the public. Especially given the fact that they have got that boldness.”
