Siphokazi Buti, better known to fans around the world as Camagwini, has undergone a remarkable transformation from Afro-rock star to revered prophet and healer.
ZiMOJA reported that Camagwini provides advice on herbal medicine, spirituality, and living a pure life. She guides people in manifesting their desires, dealing with spirits, understanding karma and leading a righteous life.
In addition, Camagwini shared with Daily Sun that she has been on her spiritual journey since 2021. She always felt a special calling but only recently gained clarity about it.
The ‘Iqhawe’ hitmaker embraced her spiritual calling, realising her soul would not rest until its purpose was fulfilled.
“This is a journey I should have walked a long time ago but the body is always stubborn to what the soul wants to do,” she told the publication.
Camagwini’s music has always centered on spirituality and healing. She has released several albums, with all her song lyrics written in isiXhosa.
According to SowetanLive, Camagwini paused her music career in 2013 after the birth of her child to live a normal life. She returned in 2019 with a comeback single, “Dubai,” which was released under the independent record label 4 Billion Records.
However, she accepted her gift of healing and decided to stop making music. Her 2020 album was her last, as she has chosen to focus entirely on her true purpose in life.
“This was not an easy decision but the album I released in 2020 will be my last one. I have decided to no longer make music as I have found my true purpose in life,” she shared.
