Afropop princess Tyla has just released the next single off her debut album. ‘Breathe Me’ is a catchy bop filmed in the streets of Osaka, Japan.
Featuring the same love interest as her previous music video ‘Truth Or Dare,’ the loved-up couple go on a late-night jaunt through the busy city. They end up at a karaoke bar where things get a bit steamy.
According to Billboard, the music video was directed by Nabil who previously helmed her ‘Jump’ project in Jobrg. The publication says the visuals may have been shot earlier last month in Japan after the ‘Water’ artist did a signing at Tower Records Shibuya.
Excited about her latest project, the singer took to social media to post a clip of ‘Breathe Me’ with the cheeky caption, “But we friends tho…”

The phrase was about the now-viral moment when Kai Cenat invited the singer to his livestream and asked her on a date. She responded with: “But we are friends, though.”
Tygers quickly got the joke and jumped into her comments.

The award-winning singer found herself on the wrong side of X (formerly Twitter) earlier this week when a past tweet about Miss Universe Nigeria Chidimma Adetshina came back to haunt her.
When Chidimma pulled out of the Miss SA finals due to online bullying and trolling, Tyla voiced her support and said, “Disappointed that this happened to her, but wish you all the best girl. Kill it!”
Some South African netizens didn’t take too kindly to Tyla’s comments and said they wouldn’t be voting for her at the MTV VMAs.
