Saturday evening appeared to be a night for the stars as mzansi once again saw the crowning of its new Miss World South Africa.
The pageant ceremony which took place at Sun City Superbowl saw the young and vibrant Zoalize Jansen van Rensburg receive the top honours of the evening.

The 18-year-old, Pretoria-born model is a digital and marketing executive at Scuderia, Ferrari South Africa. She will be representing South Africa at the 72nd Miss World pageant which takes place in February 2025.
Despite being among the youngest of the contestants, she has managed to sweep judges off their feet with her Beauty with a Purpose project called, ‘Never too Young to Advocate’ which focuses on global visibility as well as audibility for the youth. The digital platform focuses on three essential pillars, namely to educate, graduate and advocate, allowing youth to integrate into positions of acknowledgement she explained.
On the evening Nande Maba a 26-year-old social media entrepreneur from Cape Town was crowned 1st runner-up.
Meanwhile, this is the second time Zoalize has competed in the pageant after finishing as 1st runner-up last year.
Taking to Instagram she expressed her gratitude following her first day on the job.
“A second chance on myself meant the world and I hope that this can act as an inspiration to all people that have felt like giving up on a dream. Don’t ever let anyone tell you that it is not possible, as your Miss World South Africa, I will continue to remind our people that in the midst of adversity and uncertainty, you have to remember that you are here for a reason,” she wrote.
