TV producer and actress Nolo Phiri is set to start an initiative that will empower female creatives in the entertainment industry.
Apart from acting, Nolo has been known to take on many roles behind the camera where she has produced and directed so many TV shows.
According to news publication, IOL, the producer released a 10-part roundtable series titled, ‘Leading Ladies‘ which will discuss challenges faced by female creatives in the industry.
Speaking to the news publication on this series she said, “This new project represents a celebration of women’s voices and talents in our industry, adding, Leading Ladies will bring together South Africa’s top female creatives to share insights and amplify their voices shaping storytelling from the inside out.”
News publication, BizCommunity, adds that Leading Ladies will capture prominent females in the entertainment industry and provide mentorship to upcoming artists.
Taking to the Instagram page, Leading Ladies Africa, A women’s rights organisation promoting gender-inclusive leadership, equality, and economic justice for African women and girls with the caption:
“Leading Ladies will feature insightful conversations with prominent women in South African television, who will mentor emerging talent by sharing their experiences, insights, and journeys through in-depth discussions.”

Nolo has also become a part of other conversations surrounding topics about being in the entertainment industry where she offered help to upcoming artists.
