South African sports are currently suffering from success as teams continue to feed off of each other’s winning mentality as we have seen a drastic improvement in performance throughout this year. Mzansi currently looks forward to the upcoming sold-out battle of the Souths between South Sudan and South Africa set to take place in Cape Town this evening.
After facing years of criticism and ridicule from supporters, South African soccer is well on its way back to its glory days as Mzansi’s faith in Bafana Bafana slowly returns. Due to their history of inadequate performances, Bafana Bafana had become a lost cause for South Africans as many felt as though the team was not worthy of the country’s support. However, it appears there has been a change of mentality within the team as they have come out with a winning attitude, which has translated to success for Hugo’s side.
Bafana Bafana had turned their fans into professional mathematicians as it was time to qualify for any major tournaments, the team would rely on the demise and goal-scoring abilities of other teams. However, things have changed for the better this year as the boys in green and yellow managed to qualify for the highly anticipated AFCON 2025 tournament before even stepping on the pitch to play. This, along with their consistently strong performance has ignited Mzansi’s old love and passion for the game and the team.
When it comes to patriotism and sports, South Africans do not need to be asked twice to rally behind their national teams, particularly a bunch of winners. Mamelodi Sundowns’ middle fielder Teboho Mokeona indirectly called the nation out for their lack of support towards the national soccer team did not fall on deaf ears as Msanzi is ready to fill up DHL Stadium and rally behind the boys.

It’s so great to finally watch a Bafana team that we can be optimistic about again. I feel like our football is getting back into the right direction. We have a number of youngsters shining in the PSL too. https://t.co/wJdER64Odt
