Rapper Leslie Jonathan Mampe Junior famously known as Da L.E.S also known to many as the ‘North God’ has been in better spirits since being discharged from hospital.
In July, the hip-hop star had been reported to have suffered a stroke right before his 39th all-white birthday celebrations and since being discharged, has been on the journey to recovery.
During his hospital stay, there had been reports that he needed donations resulting in his move from a private to a public hospital. After his stroke, many internet users were informed that his party would be cancelled due to his condition.
The family also released a statement saying: “Whilst he is in a stable condition, this remains a challenging time for his loved ones, and his family call on the public to keep him in their thoughts and prayers as they navigate this difficult period. Updates on Da Les’ condition will be provided as they become available. Thank you for your continued support.”
According to the news publication, TimesLIVE, Da L.E.S has been using a wheelchair, with family and friends regularly visiting him during his recovery. The above-mentioned publication also reports that a statement was released by his team to give fans a health update, explaining his recent absence as he focuses on healing and regaining his strength.
The statement read, “He expresses deep gratitude for being alive, saying it’s truly a miracle, and thanks God for his strength. I owe it all to God, Da L.E.S is incredibly thankful for the outpouring of love, support and prayers from his fans, friends, and everyone who’s reached out,” adding, “He will continue to update everyone on his healing process and appreciates all the continued encouragement. Healing takes time, but he’s staying positive and focused on a full recovery.”

A recent image of Da L.E.S has been circulating online with his fellow industry friends Cassper Nyovest, Kabelo Mabalane, Maggz and L-Tido causing some internet to allude that the late AKA had been the problem even though it is more that in hip-hop cultures most beefs would be fabricated as a way to gain more traction.
