TV personality and rapper Nomuzi Mabena, famously known as Moozlie recently hosted one of South Africa’s most historical events as she paid tribute to late rapper AKA at the launch of his SneAKA 2.0 shoe.
Since his tragic passing in Durban, Megacy fans have been doing their best to keep his name alive and with his daughter, Kairo already making her mark in the entertainment industry there is still a lot more to do.
According to SAHIPHOPMAG, the Reebok collaboration provided an opportunity for fans to purchase the new sneaker, creating a heartfelt moment for everyone involved. It was not just about the shoes; it was a chance to come together and honour the profound influence the rapper has had on the hip-hop community.
Taking to the stage, the MC of the day, Moozile posted images of her at the event and Kairo where she paid tribute to AKA as well as thanked the sneaker brand for this collaboration.
She captioned, “Sometimes if I use my human eyes, I can see that he’s gone. But when I use my SPIRIT eyes, I see HE LIVES ON!! Long Live Supa Mega, Live Long! And what a Legendary thing God continues to do with your LIFE!!!! Forever the goat. Setting the bar higher & higher with every move. Is your name on a Reebok shoe with the SA flag? Get the f*ck out here, this is unheard of!! Massive shout out to @reeboksouthafrica, this is SO crazy!! I know @akaworldwide would be proud.”

One user added: “When I see his daughter, I see him. When I see our flag around that mic, I see him and it still feels so surreal that he is gone. However, Kiernan will always be celebrated by us, R. I. P Kiernan, Gone but will never be forgotten.”
The late rapper’s mother, Lynn Forbes commented, “I thank God for creating a human like you Mooz!!”
