Limpopo singer Makhadzi, born Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona has found her name on the lips of many, as a viral video of her draws comparisons to Chris Brown.
Although the arrival of American singer Chris Brown in South Africa has brought about some excitement, it has also proven to be tricky for our local artists as they have been on the receiving end of some criticism and comparisons to the international star.
Makhadzi has found herself at the brunt of these comparisons, as a video of an old aerial act has been compared to Chris Brown’s recent aerial act. Fans have taken to their social media pages to compare the two acts and criticise the Limpopo-born singer, as her act did not live up to the same standards as the international superstar’s.

After being privy to this, Makhadzi took to her social media to address the matter and addressed those who have been openly criticising and laughing at her. The ‘Jealousy Down’ songstress has put up a strong front and expressed her lack of interest in the matter as she has moved on.
Rather, she looks forward to her upcoming one-woman show that has gained momentum and has fans looking forward to the event.

Her post has garnered much support as fans have advised Makhadzi not to pay any attention to the critics, and rather focus all of her energy on the one-woman show. These users have expressed their excitement for the show and will be attending in numbers as Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture Gayton and McKenzie and Professor Phakeng Mokgethi have bought tickets by the numbers to give away to fans.
However, others have continued to make fun of the singer, and have encouraged her to stay away from social media and rather focus on her career.
