A beach lover’s guide to quiet coastal gems around Cape Town

Cape Town’s weather at the moment is giving “Take me to the beach right now!” and I love that for anyone who enjoys a good beach day, especially with the family.

What I love about mine is that even though we are technically not fans of the beach because they are always crowded and we never find a good spot no matter how early we leave the house, we now make sure to find something that works for us even if it means driving out a bit for that quiet coastal gem to achieve this goal of ours.

Here are some suggestions for a perfect beach day for you and your family:

Boulders Beach

We recently went to Boulders Beach, firstly what a beauty and secondly, the water is so beautijful. Although there are less congested areas nearby, the beach itself can grow packed because of the penguins. Boulders Beach is the ideal location for a calm day by the sea because of its crystal-clear water and serene ambiance.

Diaz Beach

One of Cape Town’s most beautiful undiscovered treasures is Diaz Beach, well not for long I am definetly going to check it out. The beach is situated at the base of the majestic cliffs of Cape Point. It offers beachgoers with a peaceful, unspoiled haven that feels worlds away from the busy coastlines of the city, with its golden sands, blue waters, and striking rock formations.

Water’s Edge Beach

Water’s Edge Beach, onother discovery of Cape Town’s best-kept secrets is tucked away in Simon’s Town between Boulders Beach and Seaforth Beach. For beach lovers seeking a quiet hideaway by the sea and a way to avoid the crowd, this little, isolated paradise is the ideal location.
