Actor, singer, and composer Nicholas Nkuna has joined the cast of the popular South African soap opera Muvhango, adding a new face to its already impressive cast.
The SAMA nominee, who is well-known for his versatile acting abilities and commanding stage presence, adds a fascinating new aspect to the production.
According to YouthVillage, the award-winning actor and musician will portray Khalema Semenya, a streetwise character with a mysterious past and questionable loyalties. Khalema is introduced as Dr. Ximba’s cousin and Sakhile’s uncle, though his ties to the family are layered with complexities, according to the publication. the publication further reports that Khalema Semenya’s character is further shaped by his years in the army, with his discharge under mysterious circumstances adding layers of intrigue to his story.
The publication also highlights Nicholas’ impressive portrayal of Anathi Mpofu in Generations: The Legacy. He is widely recognised for his roles in popular TV series such as Keeping Score, Skeem Saam, and 7de Laan.
In addition to television, Nicholas has showcased his talent in movies like Meet the Radebes and Love by Chance. His much-anticipated debut on Muvhango is set for January 24, 2025.
Nicholas shared the exciting news on his social media, he wrote, “Congratulations to my dear friends @gabisilet as she joins @sabc2’s @wordofmouthpictures’s @muvhangosa as Bubbles Mosipidi and @nicksoulworld as Khalema Semenya. Gabi will debut on Tuesday the 21st of January and Nick will debut Friday the 24th of January. All the best my fellow Thespians may you rock the screens like you alws do.”
