The fifth season of Big Brother Mzansi definitely lived up to its theme ‘Umlilo’ as both the housemates and viewers brought the fire. Following the Bonni B and Ashley Ogle debacle, mzansi is still not convinced that Biggie made the correct decision to keep Bonni around.
This past week has been filled with drama galore in Big Brother’s house, as tensions continue to rise and fall between Ashley, Bonni B, and the rest of the housemates. This comes after it was revealed that the duo had had a distasteful conversation regarding rape that fellow housemate Kay B had shared with the group in confidence.
For their actions, both Ashley and Bonni B were handed the first strikes this season, as well as some punishment for them to serve. An apology was also issued to Kay B and Mshini, with whom Ashley also had some distasteful things to say.
Just when mzansi thought this unfortunate matter had come to an end, Bonni makes a comment that has taken matters back to square one and has viewers calling for her eviction for the second time, relieving Ashley from the chopping block.
In a conversation with the whole group, a frustrated Bonni says “Oksalayo we said what we said” as she inquires why the housemates continue to talk about the matter when Big Brother has laid it to rest. This statement from Bonni triggered uproar in the house, as well as on social media as mzansi is convinced that she is not remorseful and has not learned from her mistakes, leading to them calling for her eviction.

Since then, the general consensus and mandate has been to advocate for her removal from the house. Viewers have referenced Bravo B’s controversial eviction for a similar offence in last year’s season, urging Big Brother to exercise fairness and do the right thing and disqualify Bonni.

Bonnie said “oksalayo I said what I said” and Ash looked at her and smiled. Very evil people🤞🏾 Biggie you do this one. No justice for victims in this country.#BBMzansi
