South African fans will soon be biting their nails in hopes that this time, American singer Keyshia Cole will finally grace the stage.
The, Sent from Heaven, hitmaker recently confirmed that her tour to South African shores is officially still on track.
Mzansi music lovers have recently experienced double the amount of disappointment, as the Trust and Believe singer cancelled her eagerly anticipated tour on two separate occasions.
Keyshia was initially supposed to perform in South Africa in September 2024, however, a change in priorities led her to postpone the show, due to unforeseen circumstances, with a new date later scheduled to take place from 24 to 26 January 2025.
However, few could have predicted that a natural disaster would lead to yet another setback. This comes after the American city of Los Angeles experienced and horrific wildfire that swept through the entire community, damaging and destroying the homes of many.
Some of the most notable celebrities whose homes have been burnt down include Paris Hilton, Mel Gibson, Bella Hadid as well as Keyshia Cole.
This has since led her to postpone her South African performances for a second time.
In her recent announcement, Keyshia thanked her fans for being understanding and supportive throughout this ordeal.
“The wildfires in Los Angeles devastated not only my home but also my spirit for a moment. I needed time to heal, rebuild, and be fully present to give my fans in South Africa the show they deserve. Your love and support have been a light through a dark time, and I can’t wait to see you all.”
The new dates for the show are as follows:
- 26th April 2025: Big Top Arena, Carnival City
- 27th April 2025: SunBet Sun Arena, Pretoria
- 28th April 2025: Grand Arena GrandWest, Cape Town
Those who bought tickets in January will still be able to use them, while those who don’t intend on attending will be refunded.
