The Radebe household is filled with excitement as, yet another member of the family member has taken the first step towards making football become his career.
The 13-year-old Kutlwano Radebe, son of the Bafana Bafana legend Lucas Radebe has now officially put pen to paper as he is set to kick start his footballing career in Spain. The grade 8 learner who recently started his high schooling at Trinity House Centurion was allowed the opportunity of a lifetime to showcase his talents at international trials in Europe.
It turns out that the travels were not in vain as it was now confirmed that the teenager signed a contract with Spanish club Sporting Gijon.
Taking to Instagram, his mother Botlhale Modisane could not contain her excitement.
In a post which contains a video reel of their activities, she wrote: “Our baby was scouted by a Spanish team.
“He attended trials a few days ago and now they have officially bagged him! Watch out for Kutlwano Radebe because just like his Dad, he is going to make South Africa proud!”

During his time in South Africa, he joined the Club Football Academy Mainstream which is based in Olifantsfontein. The academy aims to nurture young talent by teaching athletes some of the fundamental principles of the beautiful game while enhancing their skills.
Kutlwano is officially the second person in his family to take their footballing talents to Europe, the first being his father Lucas Redebe who played for English side Leeds United.
