Those who have missed out on the glitz and glam that took place at this year’s annual Grammy Award ceremony have been granted a second opportunity to catch up.
Last night hundreds of Hollywood’s biggest stars all gathered on the red carpet to celebrate musical excellence at this year’s eagerly anticipated Grammy Award ceremony. The awards are regarded by many as being one of the most prestigious events in the music industry worldwide.
Meanwhile, the event was just as special for South Africans as one of its proudest exports, the Emmy Award winner and former presenter of The Daily Show, Trevor Noah, hosted the event for the fifth successive year.
In honour of this milestone, local broadcaster S3 has decided to treat their local viewers with a repeat broadcast of Sunday evening’s prestigious event.
In a press statement, Sane Zondi, Head of the Channel stated: “The biggest night in music entertainment is coming to S3, which is a big win for the channel, and it is a testament to the growth and turnaround strategy in place.
“We started this strategy at the beginning of April 2024 when we brought a series of big-ticket entertainment shows to our audiences. Adding the Grammys is another testament to the hard work that the team at S3 has been doing and a further testament to the support from our leaders in supporting and adopting the strategy devised and implemented by the team”.
“At S3, we celebrate our own and hope the viewers will celebrate Trevor Noah being on a PBS channel again and enjoy the musical acts and entertainment.”
Meanwhile, the channel announced that they will continue to aggressively pursue big-ticket shows and events to drive audiences back to S3.
The Grammys are set to be aired on S3 this Monday, 3 February at 19h00 with a repeat on Saturday, 8 February at 19h30.
