Celebrating its 20th anniversary, UMA is expanding into over 20 countries, with South Africa hosting the prestigious event for the first time.
The awards will be broadcast live via VooVix TV, a free streaming service with over 4.5 million subscribers, bringing the celebration of African music talent to audiences across South Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America.
As part of UMA SA, South Africa’s Next Superstar competition will give one rising star the chance to perform live at the event on May 4, 2025, providing a massive platform for new talent.
Tyla’s winning streak continues as she’s also been named to the newly elected MET Gala Costume Institute Benefit Host Committee, with the iconic event set for May 5, 2025.
