Merely three weeks after reportedly fatally shooting his girlfriend, Zakithi Ndaba, in her Sunninghill apartment, Aviwe Poswa has been spotted actively participating and possibly looking for a new connection on popular dating app Tinder.
Every once in a while, a chilling story breaks out, sending a gentle and harsh reminder about the reality of the Gender Based Violence (GBV) epidemic that plagues the country. The recent story of Zakithi Ndaba and Aviwe Poswa is no different, as it has resulted in the untimely and unjust death of Zakithi, reportedly at the hands of her partner, Aviwe Poswa. A week after the incident, and after being on the run, Aviwe handed himself over to authorities, and has since been granted bail of R5000.
However, although this tale alone is one that sends chills through one’s body, what has troubled users more is that the self-confessed killer was found to have an active Tinder profile, mere weeks after Zakithi’s death, leading them to believe that he is already on the hunt for a new connection.

These users have highlighted things such as the brand manager’s bio that reads “What a time to be alive” as a cause for concern, as it does not portray remorse or regret from him. They have gone on to label Aviwe as a psychopath, as these
Furthermore, Zakithi’s sister, Nomusa Ndaba, has revealed that Aviwe has returned to using his old WhatsApp number, where he has begun posting pictures of himself and Zakithi, expressing that he will always love her until the end of time.

Concerns over how Aviwe, who evidently poses a threat to society, can be granted bail, especially at R5000. These concerns are directed towards South Africa’s justice system, which, according to these users has consistently failed victims of GBV. This is also backed by the belief that this is not Aviwe’s first encounter with the law, as Zakithi’s family believes that his mother and those close to him have helped him make the cases disappear.
Furthermore, the victim’s family has revealed that Zakithi had reported a pattern of abusive behaviour from Aviwe, leading them to believe that the bail he was granted was ill-advised on their part.
This is nauseating and signs of a serious narcissist, I would be disgusted to have such a family member ๐คฎ๐คฎ https://t.co/r6ozjA6CXn

How do you give bail to someone who has been running before his arrest? ๐ https://t.co/Nkeo0c7DiD
