Is there anything more devastating than sending your child to a place you thought they would be safe, only to find out they were never safe there?
The mother of the seven-year-old girl Cwecwe, who was raped last year at school has made it known to the world that she will not rest until her child’s perpetrator is found.
With all the means to find out the truth behind the incident, the mother herself has gone through a lot as she lost a baby due to stress and depression.
She recently took to her Facebook page to share that this is a sensitive matter for her as she is also a rape victim with no justice served. Therefore, she refuses to accept that her child does not get justice, too.
Since the story broke and reached a wider audience, new developments and findings have been made which resulted in the country at large doing a national march to raise awareness in different provinces and towns.
With all these happening, the president has yet to openly address the matter, for some, his silence is rather too loud.
Cwecwe’s mother took to her Facebook page and called upon him. She wrote, “ DEAR CUPCAKE. AWUNANIMBA NA? OZITHOBILEYO MAMA KACWECWE [You don’t have sympathy? Kind regards, Cwecwe’s mom].”
This post moved a lot of people who claimed his silence is too loud, some still giving out ideas on how to go on about the case. While others seemed angry and suggested we vote out the president.
