After going on a rant about wanting a normal life again, and after receiving intense backlash from his fans, amapiano sensation Scotts Maphuma has doubled down on his controversial stance regarding not wanting to take pictures with his fans sometimes.
Born Mpho Lebajoa, Scotts Maphuma has quickly become one of the faces of the new age amapiano vocalists, for his incredible contributions to the industry, as he boasts chart-topping bangers like Yebo Lapho, Shayimoto, Wishi Wishi and many more. His signature catchphrase “bathini bona?”, which translates to “what do they say?”, as well as his popular dance move, have become a significant part of Mzansi’s pop culture, as they have formed part of countless social media challenges, especially TikTok.
Although it has its benefits, his newly found fame has proven to come with challenges that the young artist believes he does not have to deal with, as he recently made headlines for his rant regarding not always being in the mood to take pictures with his fans. According to the youngster, in as much as artists understand the need and want to interact with fans and take pictures and videos with them, fans need to return the courtesy of understanding that they too are humans, and will not always be in a good mood or the right space to positively interact with fans.

Recently, Scotts paid L-Tido’s popular podcast a visit, where they covered a plethora of topics, and social media users could not help but highlight the part where he reiterates his stance regarding the matter. In the episode, the Wishi Wishi hitmaker reveals that he does not believe that he owes his fans any pictures or videos, as no one can say that they made him; rather, he says he believes that some fans feel entitled to his time, and get offended and label him as rude when he declines.
