She is one of the funkiest and loved faces on our TV screens every Friday night. When Lootlove is not keeping us updated on the latest hits in the music industry, she is talking hair. We caught up with ORS new ambassador Luthando Shosha, aka Lootlove, on her hair stories and being an ambassador.
My hairstyles are inspired by…
Trends around the world most times, but my mood at the time also influences my hair. The amount of time I spend on blogs plays a big role in what I do because that’s where you see the craziest hairstyles that you can work with or change up.
When ORS contacted me to be their ambassador…
I was over the moon; I can’t explain my level of excitement. I mean, they are an incredible hair brand, and for them to see me as someone they want to represent them, that was amazing. My hair is everything to me so knowing it will be taken care of, and I will learn more about taking care of it and teaching others in turn is pretty cool.
My favourite ORS hair product is…
The hair mayonnaise, which I live by, among others. It’s done wonders for my hair body & growth.
Choosing the final hairstyle I go with doesn’t limit me…
Hahaha. I’ve had so many hairstyle changes I can never say I’m scared to change or experiment. I have had blonde hair, red hair. Long, short, cut on the sides… cut short. I love having fun with my hair.
The craziest hairstyle I have done is…
Cutting the sides of my hair off! I am trying to grow it out but the temptation to cut it again always gets me.
The hair stress and pressure I have had since I became a public figure are…
A LOT because maintaining hair is no easy task and mine always have to look fresh because I’m on television. I found my rhythm and have a great hair stylist, so that became a stress-free thing.
The hair trends I think will be big this summer are…
The shaved sides, this is still trending and so are the two thick braids. A bit of colour in your hair – unusual colours like purple highlights are also quite trendy.
The people I look up to in terms of hair styles are…
Rihanna and a bit of Keri Hilson
My hair is…
How I greet the world.
The hair tips I can share with Bona readers is to…
Pay more attention to HOW to use certain hair products so you get the best out of them. Understand what your hair needs and make sure you feed it. Also wash your hair at least once a week. Lastly, if you colour your hair, try not to let it dry out. Restore as much moisture back into your hair as possible.
