Donald loves charming us with sweet words sung by his amazing voice. We sat down for a quick chat with him about his future plans, love life and much more.
You are considered romantic – so, what would be the best place for you to have a date?
I think it would depend on the mood. I’m generally big on going to restaurants and enjoying great food. If that doesn’t work, for whatever reason, a date at my place with scrumptious food would also do.
You are very private about who you date, why is this important for you?
The type of work I do puts me out there, and a big part of me is consumed by the public. So, I think it’s important to be private and keep certain things for myself.
How would you describe your ideal girlfriend?
I think someone who has a beautiful heart, is sensitive and passionate about life and love.
Is there any female celebrity you would marry?
This is going to sound corny, but it would be Beyonce. She’s just everything that I’d want my wife to be. Just thinking about it gets me very excited (laughs).
Who’s your favourite RnB singer and why?
I’m a big fan of old school RnB, especially from the 90s. The likes of Eric Benet, Kenny Lattimore and Boyz II Men are still my all-time favourites. But even the new school music appeals to me.
You’re also stylish. What’s the one item of clothing that you love the most?
All the jackets that Paledi from Palse Homme do it for me. He really gets my style.
What can we expect from you this year?
I’ll still be promoting my album Black and White. There will also be a bit of touring both here at home and Africa.
Are there any collaborations you have planned for this year?
The video of my new single with Bucie, Don’t let it Burn just came out, so please look out for that one. Check it out on YouTube and request it on your local station.
