As a beauty product ambassador what is your beauty regime and routine?
Eating clean and drinking lots of water is a great part of a routine because our skin not only reflects what’s going on the inside of our bodies but outside of that. I also do the normal cleanse, tone and moisturize whilst also making sure I exfoliate twice a week because of all the make-up I put on as a result of being on of V-Entertainment.
In terms of fashion who do you get style inspiration from and are you generally quite involved when it comes to choosing what outfits you wear when making public appearances?
I’m inspired by Blake Lively, Lilly Collins, J.Lo, Angela Simmons and many others. I usually have an idea of what I’d like to be in for a particular event but there are a few people I turn to for advice.
How often do you change your weave, and what is your hair treatment routine?
I change my weave every 4 – 6 weeks. My hair treatment is all up to my hair guru Jawad from Lajawi Hair & Beauty Café
Hair is a big deal to us ‘sistas’ and so is our hairline. How do you take care of yours?
I’m not one to chop and change the glam squad because when you stick to a specific person they know exactly what to do all the time. I don’t shy away from treatments because that is what helps most of the time.
What are your plans for the festive season, do you have anything interesting lined up?
I’m MC’ing the DStv iRock Festival tomorrow at The Royal Bafokeng Stadium and on New Year’s Eve I’m in Redhill in Cape Town to MC the HeadHoncho Redhill NYE Party.
How do you find time for love and family?
I make time no matter what, I have even asked friends to come hang out with me at work because I miss them so much. I love being still in my free time.
You have lost a lot of weight, have you reached the size you want?
I haven’t reached my goal weight and am still quite far from my toning goals, I’m still working on myself.
We are currently mourning the father of our nation Madiba. Tell us what memories do you have of him?
I met Madiba once when my mother interviewed him on her breakfast show on Kaya FM. He was using a walking stick but still strong as ever. I skipped school that day to meet him and he asked my mom why she made me skip school, to which she replied “it’s because she had to meet you”. He asked what I wanted to be and I told him I wanted to be a lawyer.
What’s the best beauty advice you would give someone?
Take care of your skin, it’s the only one you have and there are no do overs with skin.
