Soft pudding with butterscotch sauce

Ingredients
- 1 cup (250ml) self-raising flour
- ½ cup castor sugar
- ½ cup (125ml) milk
- 4 tablespoons (60ml) butter, melted
- 1 egg, beaten
- Ice cream, to serve.
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180C.
- In a bowl, mix all the ingredients (except sauce) together to form a smooth dough.
- Pour the dough into a lightly greased baking dish.
- Meanwhile, in a saucepan combine the sauce ingredients together. Let it simmer for 5-10 minutes. Pour over the pudding dough.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden.
- Serve hot with vanilla ice cream.
