Beauty is the foundation of your outfit and without it, you are incomplete. We share the good, bad and ugly from the race track.
Amanda du-Pont
Amanda has joined the colour festival. We’re in love with the ombre hair shade. Her hair, red lips and nude nails complemented her outfit well.
Boity
Boity needs to let go of the false lashes or get a different design because these aren’t working for her. Always opt for false lashes that complement your eye shape and enhance the length and volume of your natural lashes. On a brighter note, we love her hair do; it’s fresh and works for any occasion.
Bonang Matheba
Her BFF is a make-up artist and she’s the face for an international make-up house. She can never fail in this department even if she tried. We love the pastel pink lips and plush nails, which standout from her yellow ensemble.
Bonnie Mbuli
We love her African crown, which is a great hair accessory. Her smokey eye could have had more effort put into it. A smokey eye always looks great paired with a red lip.
Cyprian
His hair is green, like a tennis ball or a pear green. This is a bold statement and could only be pulled off by a young and spontaneous person. The hair would have looked better as a darker shade of green, so we don’t recommend you try it at home.
Denise Zimba
Denise gets two thumbs up from us for her beauty tricks. Maroon hair paired with an identical lipstick shade works best for her. Copy Denise’s look by keeping your nails a toned down shade like white so you don’t have a colour clash.
Khutso Theledi
We wish Khutso would explore more with other lipstick colours. She has over-done the pastel matte lips and needs a shade of colour to liven up her face.
K Naomi
If this was a competition, K Naomi would win this round with full marks. She has a clean face, full eyebrows, a hint of highlight on the eye area finished off with a matte nude lipstick. This look is great and gives your pictures a timeless look. You go girl!
Lorna Maseko
Perfect your smokey eye like Lorna and you will never have to clean off flaked off eyeshadow on your cheeks. A little shimmer on the inner corner will open your eyes and add flair to the darker shade.
Mampho Brescia
Actress Mampho has nails the blonde look. We love the light highlighted ends that give it a youthful look. It’s always safe to play with natural shades on the face as she did if you have bright hair.
Pearl Thusi
Daring mama Panther, as she calls herself, plays on the wild side. Pearl had an electric blue lipstick, which works for glamorous events. Always keep your face clean to keep your bright lip as the focal point.
Poppy
The 5FM radio presenter and DJ shows us how to go dark with our colours. Poppy paired her deep purple lip with a smokey eye. The short hair is refreshing and allows us to see her strong cheek bones and heart shaped face.
Terry Pheto
The leading lady goes for the minimal face, which works for daytime events. Add some gold eyeshadow and darker corners to enhance the eyes. Contouring the nose with a darker shade on the outside will make it appear slimmer.
Tumi Voster
A red lip is a timeless classic and Tumi plays safe with it. Find your perfect shade of red to complement your skin colour. A clean face, filled in brows and eyeliner is the best trick because this will take your look from day to night without any changes.
