- 4 sirloin steaks, cubed
- 1 cup (250ml) stout beer
- 1 bay leaf
- ½ cup (125ml) oil
- ½ cup (125ml) balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons treacle syrup
- Salt and pepper
- Pesto for serving
- Mix beer, bay leaf, oil, balsamic vinegar and syrup in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add steak and marinate for 30–45minutes.
- Heat griddle pan. Fry steak for 3–4 minutes each side.
- Serve with pesto.
