- Never start a healthy living journey by taking away the things that you love; rather add good things. As you get used to that lifestyle, the need for the bad things will naturally fall away.
- Increase the amount of raw fruits and vegetables you consume by adding them to every meal.
- Incorporate as much activity as you can into your daily routine. Walk more, take the stairs and play with your children. Moving frequently is a vital requirement.
- Ensure that you are full when you go shopping. The food choices you make on a full stomach are drastically different to what you would buy while hungry.
- Judge a lifestyle choice by how you feel afterwards. Have you ever regretted eating a salad or going for a walk in the sun?
- Start and end your day with gratitude. Focus on what you have in life rather than what you lack.
- Reduce your consumption of sugary foods, such as chocolates and cakes. This is because they trigger you into eating more due to the sugar rush they cause.
