I come from a huge and entertaining family. I was born and bred in Johannesburg and had a fun filled childhood with loads of love. My love for performing started with dancing and eventually evolved into acting in school plays.
I chose to be an actress because I love being in the shoes of another person. I love performing on stage and I’m slowly learning to love acting in front of the camera. It’s not easy being an actress and sometimes I wish that I was passionate about something more consistent and cash friendly.
I moved to Brooklyn, New York to pursue my masters in acting. After I graduated from the University of Cape Town, I was still eager to learn more about it and decided to move to a country that is known for its entertainment industry. New York is a big playground for people in the entertainment industry and I wanted to be a part of it.
My acting career is filled with many memorable moments. Some of them will now include acting in Orange is the new black with an incredible cast. I’m very excited to be joining them. People must tune in to see what my character has in store. Apart from this recent highlight, I’ve also worked with highly acclaimed actors like Delroy Lindo, Wendell Pierce and Phylicia Rashād. I’m looking forward to growing my career and working hard.
