Our Food Editor Ntwenhle Gcabashe spent a lazy morning indulging in the ambiance and generous spread at the Moyo Zoo Lake restaurant’s breakfast buffet. She tells us about her experience.
The buffet at Moyo has been consistently delicious. With great views of the park and classy accommodation, it’s the ideal venue to have the most important meal of the day with your friends and family. It’s also very child friendly.
You immediately feel welcome when you walk into the restaurant as you are greeted with warm smiles from the staff dressed in regal traditional attire.
The décor has a rustic touch with a sophisticated atmosphere but also while feeling as comfortable as being at home.
Behind the scenes Moyo’s expert chefs whip up some of the best meals in town, and a breakfast spread that can feed an entire village.
The buffet is divided into sections, including hot grills (sausages, omelettes, grilled mushrooms etc.), cereals and toast. And when you’re done eating that, you might think there isn’t room for more, until you are greeted with cold desserts, mouth-watering fruit salads and different types of creamy yogurts and cakes.
Every speck of food is made with a pinch of magic by Executive Chef Amos Dlamini.
Moyo is also really great for hosting special occasions such as baby showers, weddings, birthdays and any kind of party you can think of. And for the romantics, you can cosy up for a special dinner for two.
Moyo has served me one of the best breakfast buffet experiences I have had. A big thumbs up to the team!
