Paddy Pimblett is tipping the scales near light heavyweight territory, just over a week after fighting at lightweight. The English star revealed he’s gained 40 pounds since his third-round TKO win over Michael Chandler in the co-main event of UFC 314 on April 12.

That night in Miami marked the biggest win of Pimblett’s career. He improved to 22-4 overall and stayed unbeaten in the UFC at 7-0, adding a fifth stoppage victory in the promotion. Since then, he’s been enjoying time off — and his appetite shows it.

“I’m like 195,” Pimblett said during an appearance on It’s Time with Bruce Buffer. “On Sunday, I had about five milkshakes after the fight. This morning I think I woke up at 190. That’s about the heaviest I get. I don’t really touch 200 — only in the States.”

Pimblett’s weight gain between fights has become a familiar topic since he joined the UFC in 2021. The 29-year-old has faced criticism for the way his weight fluctuates during breaks from competition. He says the challenge is greater when he’s in the U.S., pointing to larger portions and refills at restaurants.

“In the UK, if I order a Coke, I just get one,” he said. “In the States, I’ve still got half left and they’re already bringing me a new one.”

Despite the extra weight, Pimblett’s momentum inside the Octagon hasn’t slowed. His dominant win over Chandler has pushed him closer to title contention, and he believes one more win could earn him a shot at the UFC lightweight belt.

Pimblett has already set his sights on the division’s elite, calling out Justin Gaethje, Charles Oliveira, Dustin Poirier, and Arman Tsarukyan after UFC 314. Whether he gets one of those names next or not, Pimblett’s rise — both on the scale and in the rankings — continues to grab attention.
