What would an award ceremony be without the beauty tips and tricks on the black carpet? Here are our favourite ladies who nailed their looks.
Boity
Boity was a breath of fresh air. She came out of her safety shell and looked perfect. The new Club 808 presenter had perfectly arched brow, which add a hint of fun to a serious look. Boity had a clean eye area, with black eyeliner on the inner rim on her bottom lid and top lip. She finished the eye by applying lengthy false lashes, and a bright pastel pink lip.
Bonang Matheba
Mirror mirror on the wall, who’s the queen of them all? Queen B it is! She looked remarkable! Bonang put a twist to her usual weave and come out with an edgy fringe and high ponytail. She had a clean face with a winged eye and false lashes. We love how she matched her nails to match her dress; the square shaped pink nails looked amazing.
Minnie Dlamini
Minnie kept us talking about her hair and outfit changes. We fell in love with the presenter’s golden locks and glowing skin. This look is ideal for make-up ‘beginners’, because it doesn’t require much detail. Copy Minnie’s look by applying your foundation, a brown/natural shade of eyeshadow, blush, clear lipgloss and mascara. Apply eyeliner on the outer rim of your top and bottom lashes to intensify the eyes.
Pearl Modiadie
The TV presenter played around with a dark lipstick. Metallic eyeshadow with dark corners as is a great match for a dark lip. Always add false lashes or wear thick mascara to help add volume and length to your lashes.
Pearl Thusi
The smokey eye has become one of Pearl’s signature looks, and we understand why. She wears the dark eyes and nude lips well. Always apply a lighter shade of eyeshadow from the rim of your top lashes to your brow bone before beginning your smokey eye. This will serve as a base colour and help blend the dark shades on the eye. Pearl finished her look with natural length nude nails, classy indeed.
