Many women are self-conscious of the scars or acne they have on their face. Aliki Zanolin from Head to Toe Professional Service and Make-up and Hair Styling School shares some handy make-up tips to help you feel more confident
1. The first step is to do a good prep job. Starting with a light exfoliation is a good way to begin. It will remove any dead skin on the skin surface, resulting in a smoother application and finished look.
2. Moisturise even if you have oily skin. Place a tissue on your face to peel off any excess moisture.
3. Apply make-up primer and sun block. This will help to keep the face smooth and tone down any redness.
4. Apply a reasonable amount of concealer on your scar. Blend the concealer into your skin gently using your index finger until the scar has been completely concealed.
5. Apply a layer of foundation. Make sure to apply it on your entire face then spread it evenly using a beauty blender or foundation brush onto the neck, face and ears.
6. Apply the rest of your make up. You can add bronzer, blush, mascara and anything else needed to complete the look.
7. Use a translucent powder to add a matte finish to your look. This will ensure that your make-up lasts longer.
