1.What is your daily regime for the hot days to help care for your skin?
I’m on air every day, and television make-up is quite heavy; so I always stick to my 3-step skincare regime – I cleanse, tone and moisturise twice daily and use a scrub twice a week. I will add drinking at least two litres of water every day as my best daily secret to healthy skin.
2. What products can you not live without and why?
I use Eucerin products and they have completely changed my skincare routine. I have allergies, so using the range has made life so much easier.
3. What trends are you excited to try out this summer?
I’m always excited about the pop of colour that comes with summer. It makes make-up even more fun, with lipstick and nail colour to add that pop to my look.
4. Who do you refer to when looking for make-up inspiration?
Ciara is definitely my make-up inspiration. She has stunning facial features and sticks to a natural look to enhance those features. That’s what I try to do.
5. What’s your favourite lip colour and why?
I’ve been using the same lip colour for almost two years now – the Revlon ColorBurst Balm Stain Lovesick/Passionnée shade. It suits my skin tone and completes the natural look with a splash of colour.
6. Weave or braids?
I’m a fan of both weaves and braids. As a news anchor, I have to keep a consistent look, and that’s a weave. I do, however, switch it up with braids from time to time. The beauty of ethnic hair is the ability to change from one look to another without a fuss.
7. Who would you like to share beauty tips with, both locally and internationally?
Definitely Ciara! She always looks flawless and I can tell she doesn’t try too hard.
8. Beyond beauty tips…
I’d love some exercise tips; her body is amazing!
