We caught up with the house music producer to tell us more about his clothing label.

1. What inspired your upcoming clothing label and when are you launching it?
During my soccer time, I struggled with sponsors for goalkeeper gloves, which forced me to research and subsequently come up with my own glove brand.
I figured if they won’t have me on their billboard, I’ll make my own and be my own brand ambassador. This spilled to shoes and clothes, and will be launching in February next year
2. Who will wear your clothes?
I’m targeting the fashionable, colourful guys as well as my fans. It’s not about DJ Cleo; it’s about the clothes.
3. You have been in this industry for years and you always drop hit after hit. What’s your secret?
I try to make music that people want.
4. You spent two years playing professional soccer, how did the experience shape the person you’re now?
It exposed me to the best and worst times of my life; I learnt the best lessons through the worst circumstances. I’m a different person now – more mature and appreciative of life in general.
5. What are you looking forward to in 2016?
The new clothing label I’m launching, the Rebranded Label and the goalkeeper gloves brand growing bigger. I will also be signing new artists and endorse more PSL goalkeepers other than Siyabonga Mpontshane of Orlando Pirates.
