The South African Music Awards went down in Durban this past weekend and the performances weren’t the only highlights. The men stood out just as much as the ladies when it came to the red carpet. We take a look at some of the outfits that stood out for us.

1.Kenny Kunene
What a way to return to the lime light. The ‘pimp’ look works for the Sushi King but we don’t think the yellow sneakers were the right choice.
2. Major League DJ’s
The Major League twins kept it safe with red and grey suits respectively. We can’t fault them.
3. Arthur Mafokate
The Kwaito legend’s suit is okay. Looks like he just opened his closet and took out any suit that was in sight.
4. Emtee
We don’t think the rapper put in a lot of effort here. What do you think?
5. Ricky Rick
If there’s anyone in the country who can pull off this daring look then it’s definitely Ricky Rick.
6. AKA
The Supa Mega kept it safe with a classic black suit and bow tie. Perfect!
7. Zakes Bantwini
We’re digging Zakes Bantwini’s traditional inspired look featuring a cape by MaXhosa, but we think he should have left the suitcase at home.
8. Khuli Chana
This checked suit by the Tswa Daar hitmaker is really cool.
9. Ifani
Unique look from Ifani. We’re not sure what to make of it. We’ll let you be the judge on this one.
10. Khaya Dlanga
Not a bad effort from Khaya, We like the red two piece.
