Thando broke the internet by starting the #MakeItStop campaign. About it, she says, “this is something I wanted to do last year that has finally come to life. I witnessed my mom being beaten at the hands of my father for most of my childhood. My father, by the way, was the most incredible parent, filled with love. This, in a way, is a tribute to both my mom and my dad; my mom for soldiering through it, for coming out stronger and harder, and my dad for what I know he knows was his biggest flaw and ultimately led to his death by suicide.
