We chat with celebrity chef and TV presenter Lorna Maseko about her a cooking and lifestyle reality series, The Hostess.
1. I have always been a food enthusiast.
As much as I love experimenting in the kitchen with different recipes and ingredients, nothing makes me happier than seeing guests enjoying my food. I always want my guests to walk away with a memorable experience, and that is how the concept for the show came about.
2. The show is for food lovers and people that love to host events like myself. In each episode, I will create personalised culinary and experiential moments for ordinary South Africans, celebrities and industry pioneers. Viewers will be let in on what happens behind the scenes when hosting the perfect event. From kiddies’ birthday parties and themed dinners to a romantic night in, no event is too big or small for me.
3. I will also share some creative, entertaining tips.
The show will also be informative as viewers will learn more about creating menus, choosing decor and producing the perfect ambience. There are many dos and don’ts in hosting events that I will share to help viewers host the perfect event.
