We take a few life lessons from the original queen of everything, Beyonce. Through her music, we have learnt a lot from King B. Here are seven lessons worth sharing.
Lesson #1 No man is irreplaceable
If your man is acting like he is the only one left on the planet and taking advantage of all the precious love that you give him; don’t shout, don’t be mad, just tell him “to the left, to the left!” Beyoncé has taught women to stop being victims in their relationships by taking control of any situation and to find the happiness that they truly deserve.
Lesson#2 No matter how “Crazy in love” you may be, privacy is key
Ever since Beyoncé and Jay-Z started dating, all we have ever known about the couple is how happy they are and even after “the elevator incident,” we still don’t know what happens in their relationship (and we still think they’re a happy couple). This goes to prove that family matters are best kept that way. Even with millions of followers and global fame, Bey always keeps us guessing.
Lesson #3 “Who needs a degree when you’re schoolin’ life?”
Beyoncé didn’t go to university – She spent her life perfecting her talent and adding to her skill set by learning to act, dance and do business (House of Dereon). Success is not one dimensional and you can be successful without a degree if you know where you want to be and make the necessary sacrifices to get there.
Lesson #4 Pretty Hurts and perfect does not exist
Why stress, hurt and even starve yourself in order to be somebody else’s version of perfect or pretty? They say “Happy girls are the prettiest” and we could not agree more. Beyoncé (or is it Sasha fierce?) has recently adopted a carefree attitude and style. She has started doing what she wants, how she wants, without the burden of having to uphold a “good-girl” image. Why be good when you can be good at being bad?
Lesson #5 If he likes it then he should put a ring on it!
You would much rather be single than stay with a man who is too afraid to show you how truly committed he is to you and your relationship. Many men will run when they hear the mere mention of the word “marriage” or “ring” but that’s okay, as long as they will not sulk when you declare yourself single! Never compromise on your happiness.
Lesson #6 Me, Myself And I
As a human being, you are naturally prone to emotion, even if you may try to avoid it. There are times when you will stay in a bad relationship because you have formed an attachment to the person you are with or are afraid to be alone if you leave them. Being alone can empower you and help build a stronger character.
Lesson #7 Dance for You
A wise and independent woman knows to take care of herself but never forgets to take care of her man too. Beyoncé does not need a man to pay her bills, she can do that all on her own, however, she is smart enough to keep a man and not intimidate him with her status. Keeping a good man happy will work to your benefit if you remember to keep yourself happy first.
