Award-winning director, producer and actor Akin Omotoso is set to direct Netflix‘s first original Nigerian series. The star shared the exciting news on social media.
This comes after the global streaming giant announced the official launch of Netflix Naija on social media with a snap of the Nigerian film industry’s most notable filmmakers and actors.

According to Business Insider, Netflix is currently developing two unnamed Nigerian original series, one of them being an Akin Omotoso project. The yet-to-be-titled project is a six-part series directed by Akin alongside Daniel Oriahi and CJ Obasi. It will be set in Lagos, will follow the story of Kemi, a female deity who reincarnates as a human in a bid to avenge the death of her sister.
