Busiswa and Moonchild are featured on Beyoncé‘s The Lion King-inspired album, The Gift. The local stars feature on a track titled My Power alongside Bey, Tierra Whack, and Yemi Alade. Beyoncé, who curated and produced the album shared the list of artists featured on the album on her website.

In an interview with Good Morning America, Beyoncé shared the inspiration for the soundtrack. She said in part: “The soundtrack is a love letter to Africa…it becomes visual in your mind. It’s a soundscape.”
Some of the music on the album is from the movie, and some of it is entirely new with some of Africa’s biggest artists. These artists include Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Wizkid and Mr Eazi.
The album will be available on music streaming sites on 19 July.
